Hello and welcome to our
school website. Miriam Vale State School is a Prep-Year 10 school located in
the Central Queensland region.
At Miriam Vale State
School, staff, students, parents and the wider community work together to
ensure that every member of our school succeeds. Our staff recognise that
students learn in different ways and at different rates and it is through
differentiated teaching that the needs of the individual student are therefore
met. We have and set high standards for our students and believe that all
students can and will achieve in all areas of their academic, social and
emotional development. Collectively we won’t accept poor standards of work,
behaviour, attendance or engagement. To achieve this, staff individually
monitor and support all students in their care to help foster their success in
our community.
We offer a broad
curriculum and extensive extra-curricular programs which enable our students to
experience new challenges and opportunities beyond the classroom settings. Our
school motto ‘Reach for the Stars’ highlights the endless potential available
to our students.
